Box with lid, gift, Chinese, Qing dynasty Qianlong period, cloisonné enamel. Large cylindrical-spheroidal box supported on a separate annular foot, with a slightly flattened lid. Covered by a plant tendril encircling the entire surface container and lid, dominated by chrysanthemum flowers and leaves in various stylistic forms; rich multicolored plant composition on a turquoise background. Upper edge of the storage section and lower edge of the cover decorated with a border of ruyi-head motifs in white and red; a blue three-petal pattern completes the decoration. Foot decorated with an ornamental band of colorful flowers and leafy twigs. Interior of the box and inner surface of the foot filled with uniform turquoise enamel. Unglazed edges of the storage section, cover, and foot gilded. 18th century, China. Height 14.5 cm, diameter 34.5 cm., A rounded decorative box with a domed lid covered in an intricate floral and scroll pattern in shades of blue, turquoise, green, white, yellow, brown, and black, featuring a few stylized flower motifs and many curling vine-like shapes; a band of brass-colored metal encircles the midsection and base, and there is a narrow lower border with small floral designs in blue, white, green, and brown.
