Bowl, 19th century, China. Cloisonné enamel decorative vessel, height 2.3 cm, diameter 9.4 cm. The round, flat-bottomed bowl with a low side wall widening toward the rim is decorated in the mirror with an ornamental composition on a light purple background arranged around a central black rosette. The composition includes four butterflies in white, red, and black, multicolored flowers including Buddha's fingers/Chinese lemon and surrounding leaves arranged in a circle. The inner wall is decorated with a floral tendril against a blue background composed of multicolored flowers similar to those in the mirror. A lambrequin ornament at the edge resembles the shape of rui heads. The rim is curved outward and gilded. The turquoise outer wall is filled with decoration similar to that on the inner wall. The underside of the bottom is covered with a single-color purple enamel. Pair with another bowl. Qing dynasty. Chinese., A shallow round metal dish with a decorative rim sits centered against a pale gray background, showing a colorful enamel pattern around its exterior in shades of blue, turquoise, green, red, yellow, white, and dark accents, with floral and vine motifs and a thin metallic edge, its underside reflected on the surface below creating a mirrored duplicate of the colors and patterns.
