Decoration: inside bottom decorated with flowers on a light lilac background; collar decorated with flowers on a sapphire background; outside the collar decorated with flowers on a turquoise background; bottom covered with lilac enamel. 19th century, China. Height 2.3 cm; diameter 9.5 cm., A shallow round dish with a thin metallic rim sits centered against a pale gray background, its exterior decorated with a repeating floral pattern in turquoise, blue, red, green, black, and gold tones, and a band of darker blue along the base; the interior edge shows a similar colorful motif with prominent blue and green areas, and the dish and its pattern are reflected on the glossy surface beneath it.
