Vase, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 19th century. Cloisonné enamel vessel with a neck, height 33.0 cm, diameter 15.0 cm, weight 1.7 kg. Decoration: floral and plant tendrils on a turquoise background; lotuses, peonies, chrysanthemums; lotus tendril ornament and meander ornament; birds, cranes, deer, tigers and other zoomorphic motifs in circular medallions on a plant background. Two stylized handles on the sides of the neck., A round, ornate bowl shown from above with an unadorned central interior in a metallic gold tone, surrounded by a richly patterned exterior band featuring a repeating motif in shades of blue, turquoise, teal, white, dark blue, and touches of red and yellow, against a neutral gray background and a faint reflective surface beneath that shows a muted, mirroring impression of the bowl.
