Vase, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 19th century. Cloisonné enamel vase with a neck; decoration: floral and plant tendrils on a turquoise background, birds and animals cranes, deer, tigers in circular medallions on a plant background, peonies, lotuses, chrysanthemums, zoomorphic motifs, meander and lotus tendril ornaments. Two stylized handles on the sides of the neck. Vessel. Height 33.0 cm; diameter 15.0 cm; weight 1.7 kg., A decorative vase with a bulbous body and a flared neck sits against a neutral gray background; the vase is predominantly turquoise and blue with accents of gold, black, green, red, white, and yellow, and features ornate scrolling floral patterns covering its surface. The neck displays stylized floral motifs in blue and gold on a turquoise ground and has a pair of symmetrical blue and gold applied handles. A band of black with small white floral elements encircles the shoulder, while the body is covered in intricate blue scrolling designs with gold highlights and occasional red accents. On the main surface there is a circular cartouche containing a detailed scene with a yellow and black striped feline figure among foliage rendered in green, white, red, and blue. The lower section repeats scrolling motifs and includes a decorative border near the base in black and gold. The rim and base edges are highlighted in gold.
