Plate., Gift; Paderewski, Ignacy Jan 1860–1941. Chinese; Qing dynasty 1644–1911. Cloisonné enamel decorative vessel huaniao style with images of birds swallows, plant motifs, flowers, floral ornaments, and plum trees. Plate with a brim, decorated on a turquoise background. Pair with a slightly different mirror decoration the companion plate differs. 19th century. Height 2 cm; diameter 14.2 cm., A shallow circular dish with a low rim sits on a reflective surface showing its mirrored underside; the dish has a bright turquoise exterior band decorated with a repeating pattern of circular medallions and small cloudlike motifs in colors including red, white, green, yellow, black, and gold, a thin gold band at the base, and a darker interior rim in purple with floral motifs in yellow, white, and green.
