Vase, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 19th century. Cloisonné enamel on vessel on a foot with a neck. Decoration: fish and crabs on a turquoise background, archaizing inscription on the neck. Height 23.5 cm; diameter 9.3 cm., A rounded vase with a flared neck, primarily colored bright blue with darker blue concentric wave patterns across its body, features decorative bands near the top and base in gold and green tones. The neck area has a lighter blue background with black linear motifs; a narrow band of deep blue with gold accents separates the neck from the body. The body displays a group of colorful aquatic creatures: a black and gold fish with white and yellow fins, a red and gold fish with white accents, and a vivid blue crab with gold and white detailing. There are also several green leafy elements and small white accents scattered among the wave patterns. The rim and base edges are metallic gold, and the lowest decorative band includes green and white wave-like motifs. The overall color palette includes bright blue, dark blue, black, gold, red, white, green, and touches of yellow.
