Decoration: on a yellow background, four masks against a grid pattern. 19th century, China. Height 8.5 cm; diameter 9.7 cm., A cylindrical decorative object lies horizontally against a neutral gray background, showing its circular end facing the viewer and a reflective surface beneath that creates a mirrored image. The object has intricate enamel-like patterns in vivid blue, yellow, turquoise, black, white, red, and green, with stylized floral and abstract motifs wrapping around its body. The visible end has a central hollow opening surrounded by a ring and several smaller circular holes, all framed by ornate scrolling designs in blue and black on a yellow background with small white accents. The upper band shows repeating decorative elements in blue and yellow with touches of red and green, and the metal edges have a muted brass or gold tone. The reflection below repeats these colors and patterns in a slightly softer, blurred form.
