Round plate with a flat bottom, without a distinct facet, with an arched rim, on a low foot arranged in a ring at the rim. Cloisonné enamel, 19th century, Qing dynasty, China. The mirror is decorated with a tondo surrounded by a multicolored lotus tendril. The composition in the tondo depicts an insect cricket in motion, perching on a flowering plant jumping from one flower to another, positioned on the left; flowering plants dominate the image. The outer rim is filled with medallions depicting stylized Chinese symbols lotus, peach, surrounded by free-form cloud projections. The underside of the bottom is covered with single-color turquoise enamel. Vessel; height 2 cm, diameter 14.7 cm., inscription/markings not specified., A shallow decorative dish shown in profile with a low foot and a gently flared rim, the exterior and interior surfaces covered in a bright blue enamel field decorated with a repeating pattern of stylized cloud- and rosette-like motifs in yellow, dark blue, red, and white outlined with metallic gold, the rim and foot finished in a warm gold tone, photographed against a neutral light gray background.
