Vase, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 18th century, porcelain vessel decorated with lotuses, plant motifs, lotus tendril ornament, dragons and taotie iconography; height 30.5 cm; origin: China., A single ornate vase stands against a plain light gray background, with a bulbous body tapering toward a narrow base and a flared rim. The rim and base appear dark brown, while the main body shows alternating decorative horizontal bands: a few textured bands in a muted bronze-brown tone and several colorful bands featuring turquoise-blue fields with stylized floral and abstract motifs in yellow, red, green, and white. Near the neck there are small raised circular elements and metal ring handles attached to sculpted mounts in a darker metallic brown. The surface shows fine incised patterns and areas of subtle wear, and the vase casts a faint reflection on the glossy surface beneath it.
