Metal collar ending a sword hilt fuchi by Kita Takenori, signed; decorated in high relief with inlaid and engraved motifs including moon, lotuses, momiji maple leaves and flowers. Edo to Meiji period, 2nd half of 18th–19th century Japan. Materials: metal; function: katana hilt fitting. Height 3.9 cm, width 2.2 cm, depth 1.2 cm., A small oval dark object with a horizontal slot on top sits against a neutral gray background, showing a smooth, slightly curved exterior with carved floral motifs including a dark leaf and a small shiny flower element in gold color; the object has subtle surface texture and reflects faintly on the surface beneath, and the visible colors are shades of black, gray, and gold.
