Vase, cloisonné enamel, decorated with flowers and irises; Taisho period, ca. 1912–1926; Nagoya, Japan; vessel, height 15 cm, diameter 7.9 cm., A smooth, glossy vase with a rounded body and narrow neck sits against a plain background, the vase surface shading from pale pink to a slightly deeper pink toward the top. A partial purple flower petal is visible near the upper side of the vase, and a few long, slender green leaves extend upward along the body. The rim and base of the vase have a thin metallic band in a brass-like color, and the vase casts a soft reflection on the surface below. The visible colors are pink, purple, green, gray, and a brass-like metallic tone.
