Decorated in relief, applied, inlaid and engraved naturalistic motifs arranged asymmetrically: a wisteria vine with three clusters of hanging flowers near the neck; a kingfisher perching on a branch near the lowest flower, gazing into engraved water with engraved fish. Decoration executed in the ro-iro zogan technique inlaid color painting, inlaying various metals and alloys and using colored enamels—white, several shades of lilac, and subtle green accents. Leaves and bird figurine gilded and patinated with shakudo. Lower belly engraved with inscription: Sumisuiin Toshitsugu sei.
