Vase, ovoid elongated cloisonné enamel vase with short, thin, strongly flared neck. Decoration: four reserves depicting blossoming cherry, apple tree, wisteria, and lilies on a navy blue background. Materials: cloisonné enamel. Date: ca. 1910–1920 Meiji–Taisho periods. Japan. Vessel. Height 15.5 cm; diameter 6.0 cm., A tall narrow vase with a flared lip, displaying a deep blue background and a central pale panel on its front and sides that contains painted floral motifs including lily-like flowers and leaves in colors such as white, yellow, green, teal, pink, and brown; the vase has decorative accents in gold and lighter blues around the neck and base, and the surface reflects faintly on the grayish background below.
