Vase, cloisonné enamel; symmetrical decoration of blooming poppies on a grey-blue background; flowers poppies; Meiji–Taisho period, ca. 1910–1920; Nagoya, Japan; vessel; height 24.5 cm, diameter 9.0 cm., A tall, slender vase with a narrow neck and flared rim, shown against a plain gray background; the vase is a pale celadon color with a metallic bronze-colored rim at the top and a matching metal band at the base, and it bears a painted floral design featuring soft pink blossoms and blue-green leaves on one side, with the vase reflected faintly below it.
