Small box with a lid. Maker: Kinkôzan Sôbei VII 1867–1927 and workshop Kinkôzan. Satsuma ceramics, late 19th century Meiji period, Kyoto, Awata, Japan. The lid has a gold knob in the shape of a flower. The vessel has two slightly convex handles, stands on three wide feet, and is decorated with wisteria and butterflies. Signed. Height 6.8 cm; diameter 10.2 cm., An ornate lidded ceramic dish with a rounded body and short feet sits against a plain gray background, showing a glossy reflection beneath. The lid has a rounded golden knob and a broad gold rim with intricate decorative patterns, while the body is primarily off-white with delicate painted floral garlands and hanging clusters in pastel shades including pink, lavender, blue, and green, accented with gold detailing. There are gold handles on each side and gold ornamentation along the upper edge and feet, with small painted botanical motifs and an overall polished, finely decorated appearance.
