Incense burner koro with cover, Kinkozan Sobei VII 1867–1927, Kinkozan workshop co-creator. Meiji period 19th/20th century, Kyoto, Awata, Japan. Ceramics Kyoto satsuma, vessel on three legs with two handles; wisteria, chrysanthemums, and other flowers decoration; okimono-style censers. Signed. Height 7.8 cm; diameter 9.5 cm., An ornate rounded container with a domed lid sits on three short tripod legs, all parts showing a metallic gold finish on the lid knob, rim, spout, and legs; the body of the container is a creamy off-white decorated with cascading floral patterns in shades of purple, blue, green, and lilac, with delicate green leaves and fine dotted texture across the surface, set against a neutral gray background and reflected faintly below.
