Pipe for smoking hashish, Islamic art, Arabic, stimulants, narcotics, smoking accessory. The stem is slightly curved and thin, ending with a flattened amber, mouthpiece. The short silver pipe may have been used for smoking hashish; a lump of compressed substance was placed in the recess at the end. The mouthpiece is amber, and the main part is decorated with filigree—ornaments made from thin wires joined into intricate patterns. 1st half of the 20th century, Yemen; pipe; height 12.5 cm, width 1.7 cm., A vertical object with a round ornate top in a silver-gray metal showing filigree and curved decorative elements, a long slightly curved silver-gray shaft with textured decorative bands and a small protruding peg, and a cylindrical handle in a translucent amber-orange color capped with a silver-gray ornate collar; the background is a uniform light gray.
