Beginning of the 20th century, Palestine; vessel; height 15.5 cm, width 15.5 cm, diameter 8.7 cm., A conical metal vessel with a hinged domed lid topped by a crescent-shaped finial, shown in profile with a long slender handle extending sideways; the surface is a mix of brass-like gold and darker brown patina with areas of silver and copper-toned decorative inlay, featuring ornate scrollwork and ornamental motifs around the body and neck; the handle appears dark and worn with spots of lighter discoloration; the background is a smooth pale gray.
