Clasp buckle, clasp, jewelry, Mongolian art, artistic crafts, braid ornaments, women's jewelry. The clasp consists of two longitudinal elements and one transverse element. Decorated with 17 pieces of coral. Late 18th century, Mongolia. Height 10 cm., A decorative metallic object with an elongated, ornate shape suspended against a plain light gray background. The object is primarily silver in color with darker gray areas where shadows and patina appear. The top section is wider with a rounded triangular outline and features three circular raised discs surrounded by intricate openwork filigree. The central shaft narrows and displays a rectangular recessed panel flanked by small looped fasteners and more scroll-like openwork. The lower end tapers into a pointed form with another circular raised disc set within continued filigree and small hooked elements. The surface shows reflective highlights and subtle variations of silver and gray tones.
