Plate, Paderewski, Ignacy Jan 1860-1941 provenance, Chinese art, Chinese culture, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, colored porcelain, decoration with lotuses and ducks in mirror and outside, 1st half of the 18th century, China; vessel; height 3.5 cm, diameter 15.8 cm, A shallow porcelain bowl shown in profile with a smooth pale background and hand-painted floral and foliage motifs in blue, green, yellow, and red; the rim has a thin unpainted band and the interior edge shows alternating short vertical strokes in muted red and blue; the exterior decoration includes flowing blue outlines of leaves and stems, stylized blossoms in red and yellow, and shaded green leaves, all sitting above a narrow blue band near the foot; the overall colors visible are white, blue, green, yellow, red, and a touch of beige on the base edge.
