Figurine of the goddess made of light coffee-colored alabaster, on a stone base field spar with red and pink spots, painted with black lacquer. Goddess holds a rosary in her right hand and a child in her left. Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 18th/19th century. Sculpture; height 18.2 cm, width 13.8 cm., A carved figure in a warm beige color sits on the left, showing a seated person holding a smaller seated figure with flowing drapery and rounded facial features, with the material appearing smooth and slightly translucent; to the right is a dark, irregularly shaped object in black with patches of reddish and brown discoloration, featuring multiple openings and a textured, carved surface; the background transitions from deep charcoal at the top to a lighter gray toward the bottom, and the surface beneath the objects is a pale gray.
