Jug, noted, Islamic art, Turkish Ottoman dynasty, 1299–1922, glazed ceramic jug with floral ornament, braided handle, filter, curved spout, neck cover with a rosette, 19th century, Çanakkale, Turkey, vessel, height 34 cm, diameter 16.2 cm, A green, rounded ceramic or metal vessel lies on its side against a pale gray background, showing a textured surface with mottled lighter and darker green tones and patches of brownish discoloration. The vessel has an ornate handle with a curled, spiral form and a decorative attachment at the end that resembles a clustered floral or rosette shape; the handle and attachments share the same green patina with some worn areas revealing a darker brown beneath. The body of the vessel displays raised circular medallions and faint, curving decorative motifs in a brownish hue, and the rim near the handle flares outward into a short spout-like lip with an inner hollow visible. The object casts a subtle reflection on the glossy surface beneath it.
