Bronze-framed vase, creator unknown, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911; decorative ceramic vessel with dragons and a pelican iconography, waves motif; plastic decoration in brown-stained biscuit; 2nd half of the 19th century, China; height 62.0 cm, width 27.0 cm., An upright ceramic vase with a rounded body and narrow neck sitting on an ornate metal stand, featuring a glossy brown main surface with a raised black dragon motif wrapping around it, a band of green glaze near the shoulder with a scalloped edge, a pale off-white neck with subtle crackle, and a blue-and-white wave-patterned lower border; the metal stand has a dark, aged finish with greenish patina.
