Decoration: knightly and figurative scenes with horses and falcons; rims decorated with figures, architecture, flowers, animals, palmettes, and inscriptions. Styles/subjects: Islamic art; Persian art; ceramics., A shallow ceramic bowl with a rounded rim sits against a muted gray background, decorated around its exterior with painted figurative scenes and floral motifs in blue, green, brown, and cream tones; a band of blue decorative shapes runs beneath the rim, and a border of similar blue elements encircles the lower edge above a foot with mottled green and cream glazing, while the painted figures and surrounding foliage display blue clothing and brown hair and accents, all set on a cream-colored ground.
