Cup, Abdullazad Mirza Baba fl. ante 1939, Islamic art, Persian art, Persian culture, Qajar dynasty 1785–1925, glazed ceramics, utility vessel with zoomorphic motifs, early 20th century, Iran; height 13.5 cm, diameter 11 cm, A ceramic pedestal bowl with a rounded body and flared rim displayed against a light gray background, decorated in a dark green and off-white palette with an intricate repeating leafy and paisley-like pattern around the exterior; the rim shows a few chips and cracks with exposed off-white clay, and the glaze on the surface has a slightly crazed texture. The stem and foot are painted with alternating dark green and off-white bands, and the foot shows worn, earthy discoloration at its edge; the bowl casts a soft reflection on the smooth surface below.
