Vase, mid-18th century Qing dynasty, 1644–1911, China. Colored porcelain decorative vessel, height 40.5 cm, diameter 40 cm. Mascarons on the shoulder; decoration: four reserves with figural representations; gilded edge., A rounded ceramic jar with a narrow neck and flared rim sits against a dark gray background on a black surface; the jar has a predominantly white base with decorative patterns in red and green, with additional accents in brown and black. The body features several framed panels bordered in red lattice and wave motifs, with floral designs in green and red in the lattice areas. One main panel shows a scene with a group of figures and surrounding landscape elements rendered in green and red on the white background. The neck and shoulder have banded geometric and scroll patterns in red, and there are small sculpted handles on the shoulder in a dark brownish color. The rim appears darker brown with some worn areas.
