Oil lamp, Persian/Islamic art, 19th–20th century, Central Asia or Iran, oil lamp with side decorative shaft, stylized medallion and palmette finial; decorated with birds, geometric motifs and palmettes; height 45.5 cm, diameter 15.5 cm., A vertical metal object with an ornate openwork design and a shallow bowl at the base, shown against a plain light gray background; the metal has a muted gold to brass color with areas of darker patina and slight discoloration; the top portion features symmetrical curving branches and rounded cutouts forming a decorative crest, followed by a central section with repeating open scrollwork and stylized floral or foliate motifs; a small hinge-like element connects the upper and lower panels, and a few small protruding pins or rivets are visible where the bowl meets the main structure; the shallow bowl at the bottom is oval with a gently curved lip and shows subtle surface marks and a slightly uneven sheen.
