Hand warmer, colored porcelain, Qing dynasty Tongzhi period, 1862–1874, China. Ceramic vessel with bulging body and flat recessed lid pierced with five holes; decorated with floral motifs—peonies, lotuses—and peaches as longevity shou iconography. Height 7.3 cm; diameter 11.2 cm., A small white ceramic bowl with a flared rim sits on a reflective gray surface, showing a soft mirrored reflection beneath it; the bowl is decorated with delicate floral motifs in pink, blue, green, and yellow, accented with fine reddish-orange decorative marks along the rim and repeated vertical ornamental symbols around the body, and there are touches of gold along the rim.
