Gui-type incense burner, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 19th century. Bronze vessel with phoenixes, dragons, unicorns qilin, cranes, plant tendrils and other plant ornament; ceremonial/ritual function. Dimensions: height 7.5 cm; width 17.8 cm; diameter 13.7 cm; weight 0.53 kg., A small ornate metal bowl with a pair of handles sits centered against a plain light gray background, showing a reflective surface beneath it. The bowl is dark with areas of golden highlights and worn bronze tones, decorated with raised swirling patterns and stylized animal motifs encircling its body. The handles curve outward and have carved details with the same dark and gold coloration. The rim and base show gilded accents and some darker patina, and the bowl’s interior appears dark with subtle gold flecks. The reflection below repeats the bowl’s dark, gold, and bronze colors on the glossy surface.
