Dating uncertain: described as possibly 9th century but also suggested by a specialist to be contemporary, perhaps late Republic period, 19th century. Period: Qing 1644–1911 noted. Height: 52 cm., A rear view of a pale off-white stone or marble head sculpture with smooth rounded contours, visible ears that project outward, and a tapered neck set on a rectangular off-white base, all placed on a dark surface against a gradient dark-to-medium gray background, with subtle yellowish and gray discolorations on the stone.
