Decorated with a phoenix hoo perched on a willow tree cut out in positive openwork yô sukashi; decoration and edge have gold inlay using the nunome technique. Aizu-Shoami school; not signed. Dimensions: height 8.4 cm, width 8.2 cm, depth 0.45 cm., A round metal object with an openwork design showing a central oval opening and a few curved cutouts, decorated with a group of stylized organic shapes resembling branches and leaves and a bird-like form; the surface is dark brown with areas of worn gold-colored detailing and a few grayish raised ridged sections, all set against a plain gray background.
