Bowl, unknown provenance; Chinese; Qing dynasty 1644–1911; blue-and-white porcelain; 18th–19th century; vessel on a low ring foot, height 5.3 cm, diameter 10.3 cm; decorated on the body with a rice grain pattern, geometric and plant borders; mirror with a lotus flower in a double circle; motifs include rice pattern, geometric ornaments, plant ornaments, floral decorations, lotuses., A small ceramic bowl sits on a reflective surface against a plain gray background, showing white and blue as the dominant colors; the bowl has a white body with blue decorative bands near the rim and base, a patterned blue border around the upper interior and exterior, and a subtle light blue leaf-like motif scattered on the midsection; the rim is slightly undulating and the bowl rests on a short circular foot with a blue line near its top, and soft reflections and highlights are visible on the glazed surface.
