Dark brown, porous clay, wheel-thrown; light brown glaze, rough air bubble cracks; plastic handles. 19th century Edo period / Meiji period, Japan, Owari. Vessel, height 6.3 cm, diameter 5 cm., A small rounded jar with a textured surface, predominantly brown with darker brown spots and a lighter brown band near the base, features two short looped handles on opposite sides and a cylindrical neck topped by a smooth, circular lid that is off-white with a small raised knob; the jar sits on a reflective gray surface against a plain gray background.
