Wan-nari type tea bowl wan-nari chawan, gift; Japanese art, Japanese, Edo 1603–1868; stoneware chawan tea vessel on a low, round foot; rough surface; partly glazed with white milky and grey-bluish glaze with numerous spots and drips, with gold lacquer veins. Fillings and gluing made with gold lacquer. 18th–19th century Edo period, Japan. Height 8.4 cm; diam. 13.5 cm., A top-down view of a circular, shallow bowl with a weathered, uneven surface showing a mix of gray, beige, brown, and rust-red tones, with areas of mottled discoloration and patches of lighter cream, a few hairline cracks and darker smudges around the rim, and a small rectangular sticker near the center, all set against a plain gray background.
