Wan-nari type tea bowl wan-nari chawan, noted. Japanese, Edo period 18th–19th century. Stoneware bowl on a low, round foot; rough surface; partly glazed with white milky and grey-bluish glaze with numerous spots and drips and gold lacquer veins. Fillings and gluing made with gold lacquer. Function: tea vessel chawan. Height 8.4 cm; diameter 13.5 cm., A ceramic bowl with a worn, textured surface sits against a plain background, showing a palette of beige, brown, tan, gray, blue-gray, and gold. The bowl has an uneven rim and mottled areas where darker brown and rust tones blend into lighter beige and tan, with speckled dark spots and subtle horizontal striations. A few gold-colored repairs trace irregular lines along the side and rim. The lower portion shifts to cooler gray and blue-gray hues with rougher texture, and the bowl rests on a short, slightly irregular foot that mirrors the same earthy tones. The background is a smooth neutral gray.
