The outer faces of the square body display ornate carved or embossed decorative patterns with swirling motifs, framed by vertical ridges and bordered panels. The legs feature incised linear and curved designs that echo the ornamentation on the body. The surface overall shows areas of subtle variation in gold tone and slight tarnish. A soft reflection of the object's lower portion appears on the glossy surface beneath it.
