Flask - Snuffbox. Chinese; 18th century. A baluster-shaped colored porcelain flask/snuffbox, significantly widened at the shoulders with a thick white-bodied porcelain white cake. Decoration includes a fragment of landscape and architecture slightly highlighted, with figurative scenes depicting images of women. Vessel; height 6.9 cm, width 4.6 cm., A small rounded porcelain vase with a narrow flared neck sits against a plain gray background; most of its body is glossy white, while one side shows a colorful painted panel with shades of green, yellow, purple, and red forming abstract and architectural shapes, and the opposite side displays a painted orange flower with green leaves; there is a thin gray-green band around the base of the neck and a soft reflection of the vase on the surface below.
