Cylindrical horn vase, Chinese, Qing dynasty, Kangxi period 1662–1722, colored porcelain in the famille verte palette. Ceramic vessel decorated with lotus tendril ornament and belt decoration. Height 37.5 cm; diameter 18.0 cm; weight 2.35 kg., A tall flared ceramic vase standing on a smooth surface, decorated all over with an intricate scrolling vine pattern in green, set against a white background with accents of brown, yellow, orange, and pale flesh tones; the surface shows a repeating motif of three seated figures positioned within the vinework, each figure wearing a green garment and holding a round orange object, and the vase is divided visually by a few narrow horizontal decorative bands in brown.
