Cylindrical vase of the horn type, Chinese, Qing dynasty Kangxi period, 1662–1722, colored porcelain in the famille verte palette with green family enamels, decorated with lotus tendril ornament and belt decoration, ceramic vessel, height 37.5 cm, diameter 18.0 cm, weight 2.35 kg., A tall flared ceramic vessel with an off-white interior rim and a narrow neck that widens at the top and base, decorated overall with an intricate scrolling vine pattern in green, interspersed with leaves and flowers in yellow and brown. The vessel surface features several repeating figures of a childlike person with pale skin tones and black hair, depicted in dynamic poses and wearing small colored garments with red and green motifs. Thin brown bands encircle the piece separating sections of the pattern, and the background areas remain a pale white. Overall colors visible include white, green, yellow, brown, black, red, and pale skin tones.
