Bowl, Islamic art, Turkish, Ottoman dynasty 1299–1922, geometric motifs and plant ornament, tugra of Abdulhamid II 1842–1918, silver hammam bowl, dated 1876–1909, Turkey; vessel, height 5.6 cm, diameter 19.0 cm., A wide shallow bowl with ornate raised floral and foliate decorations covering its exterior surface, featuring flowing vine-like scrolls and leaf motifs in a repeating pattern; the rim has a narrow decorative band with a beaded edge and a carved frieze beneath it, and the base shows a plain slightly rounded foot. The visible colors are silver, light gray, and darker gray tones.
