Decorated on both sides in recessed relief and partially openwork leaves with a radish motif — one of the attributes of Daikoku, the god of happiness. 18th century Edo period, Edo currently Tokyo, Japan, Asakusa, tsuba. Height 7.7 cm; width 7.3 cm; depth 0.35 cm., A round metal disc with a worn, dark brown surface and areas of lighter brown and gray patina, featuring a central vertical cutout flanked by two rounded cutouts and a smaller irregular cutout, with incised heart-shaped motifs and leaf-like shapes near the top and bottom edges, and traces of lighter metallic highlights around some cutout edges.
