Cylindrical porcelain vase, tapering towards the bottom; flat rim. Light cream glaze with fine cracklework. Wooden, round, flat saucer on three legs. 19th century, Japan; Japanese, Edo 1603–1868. Ceramics; cracklework decoration. Vessel; height 21.1 cm, diameter 8.4 cm, weight 0.6 kg., A tall narrow vase with a rounded shoulder and flared rim sits on a small round base. The vase surface is a pale beige with a fine network of darker crackle lines and a few small dark spots, and the rim and interior show a slightly darker brownish-beige tone with more pronounced crackling. The base is a dark reddish-brown wood color and the background is a uniform medium gray.
