Vase. Chinese; Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 19th century. Porcelain vessel, height 24.5 cm, diameter 17.5 cm, weight 1.35 kg. Yellow glaze with engraved decoration, partly modeled plastic elements, painted with green and brown enamel. With a low foot and a cup-shaped neck toward the rim. Two applied plastic butterflies on the sides of the belly. Motifs: butterflies and plant ornaments., A yellow ceramic vase with a flared rim and bulbous body sits against a pale gray background, decorated with a pattern of green scrolling vines and leaves and dark brown abstract floral or foliate shapes; there are a few raised brown ornamental handles on the neck area, a green decorative band near the base, and subtle reflections beneath the vase.
