Vase, Chinese, Qing 1644–1911, ceramics; colored porcelain with landscape, architectural, and plant motifs; Bangping vase from the green family; cylindrical with a shortened neck on a wide, flat ring foot; decorated with the text by Wang Bo titled Prologue to the Poem on the Pavilion of Prince Teng and a landscape composition depicting the pavilion and its surroundings; 19th century, China; vessel; height 40.4 cm, diameter 17.8 cm, weight 2.7 kg., A tall ceramic vase with a cylindrical body and narrow neck standing against a neutral gray background; the vase surface is primarily white with a glossy finish and decorated with several bands of patterned ornament in green and reddish-orange near the neck and base, a group of dense vertical dark brushstrokes forming repeated columns across much of the body, and a few small red seals near the lower side; the top rim shows a decorative green scrolling motif and dotted border, the shoulder area has a green patterned panel with a small painted scene in muted colors, and the base features a green ribbed band above a thin brown foot ring.
