The Treasury Coachman, unknown author, Chinese, nianhua New Year's picture, early 20th century, graphic print; height 20.3 cm, width 19.0 cm., The image shows a square piece of beige paper with black ink line drawings forming a scene; a figure wearing a hat appears on the lower right with a neutral facial expression and simple clothing lines, and to the left of the figure there is a group of objects resembling containers and rounded shapes. Above and behind the containers there are tall, narrow, feathery plant-like marks on the left. In the upper central area a cluster of jagged, triangular shapes points upward and carries rectangular hanging elements with decorative borders, and there are a few cloud-like curved shapes near the top. The paper has a faint textured surface and the borders of the image are framed by a thin black line with uneven black marks along the top edge. The visible colors are beige for the paper, black for the drawn lines, and a small area of reddish-orange near the upper right edge.
