Buddhist text - Formula of Repentance Tib. sdig bshags gser gyi spu gri bzhugs so, author unknown. Book in the Tibetan pecha style; xylographic print in the disciple script dbu can. 16 folios folio numbering 2–15 recto, first verso. Print on thin handmade paper, clear translucency. 19th century, Tibet. Graphic prints; Buddhist art; Tibetan. Dimensions: width 25.5 cm, height 7.8 cm., A rectangular sheet with worn, textured paper rests against a dark background; the paper is off-white to beige with areas of light brown discoloration and darker stains, and it appears creased and slightly frayed at the edges. Two bordered horizontal panels occupy the sheet, each containing dense, flowing handwritten strokes in dark ink that form repeating linear patterns across the panels; the ink ranges from deep black to faded gray in places. Narrow black borders frame each panel, with a thicker horizontal band separating them that shows smudging and uneven ink. The left edge of the sheet shows a folded or layered strip with shadowed creases, and the top edge has a slightly torn, irregular margin. Small specks and faint smudges of brown and gray are scattered across the surface, and the overall palette includes beige, off-white, brown, black, and gray.
