Vessel, Chinese, Qing dynasty Daoguang, 1821–1850. Ceramic colored porcelain vessel decorated on the outside with floral decorations, lambrequin pattern and meander strip. Height 6.0 cm; width 12.8 cm., A shallow hexagonal ceramic dish with an off-white base color decorated with intricate red and gold geometric and floral patterns around its exterior, a scalloped red and gold border near the top edge, and a band of red architectural-style motifs along the bottom; the interior shows hints of painted floral motifs in green, pink, and blue; the rim has small areas of wear revealing darker spots, and the dish sits on a reflective gray surface with a gray background.
