Plate, deposit, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, Guangxu period 1875–1908. Porcelain dish, height 3.2 cm, diameter 16.7 cm. Decorated in the mirror and on the outer wall with a pair of dragons with a pearl among clouds on a white background. Signed., A shallow round dish with a low foot, shown in profile against a gray background, made of white ceramic with decorative reddish-brown painted motifs including a stylized dragon and swirling cloudlike shapes, with thin golden bands along the rim and near the base, and subtle shading on the dragon's scales and features.
