Bronze helmet, 8th–7th century BC, Italy, armament; height 46 cm, width 17.5 cm, depth 23 cm, weight 2.740 kg., An aged metal helmet with a long neck crest shaped like an animal head protruding upward, showing rough, corroded surfaces in shades of green, brown, and gray; the helmet body is rounded with a textured, pitted surface and a patina of green and darker brown, with a few lighter patches, and a band near the base of the crest that appears darker brown; the lower edge of the helmet has a cutaway face opening with a row of small rivet holes along the rim and a decorative raised element on one side, all exhibiting weathered green and brown corrosion against a neutral gray background.
